The Face of South Africa(facesa) is founded by Dirk Van Rooyen in December 2012.
Economic and Social decay in South Africa forces thousands of people to take refuge under bridges,next to the Police stations and in the gutters and holes of our cities. Living in Kempton Park in South Africa(near OR TAMBO) airport, I witness new beggars gathering on the street corners on a daily basis.
I have witnessed the decay of cleanliness of our streets due to a “no care” attitude by all of us- including me.
We allow illegal posters,stickers on lamp poles,road signs,electrical boxes etc. We allow people throwing rubbish out of cars and pedestrians who litter the streets with urine,broken glass bottles etc.
So in short: there is 2 problems that needed urgent attention-
Beggars -They make you feel guilty if you do not give or even if you can not afford to give–
– This is not a good picture for South Africa as a whole(You understand what I mean)
– Most Important of all,we are talking of human beings, which irrespective of back ground does not deserve to live like dogs or
treated as such .!!!
Filthy streets- This is the beginning of social decay !!
– Our municipalities do not have enough manpower to tackle both this problems.

THE FACE OF SOUTH AFRICA (facesa) creates employment by using street people to clean the streets of our city.
Two problems attended at the same time !!!!!

However the above project can not be possible without the support from the public and business owners.
We need to pay the street street people with donations given by you. Any donation in any form will help.
